Crypto Arena Bag Policy 2026 | No-Bag Rules, Size Limits & Binbox Lockers

Heading to Crypto Arena in Los Angeles for a Lakers game, an LA Kings game, or a concert? The Crypto Arena bag policy is one of the strictest covered in this guide series — bags, backpacks, purses, totes, clear bags, fanny packs, and camera bags are all banned outright. Here’s exactly what the Crypto Arena bag policy allows and how to plan around it.

Quick Answer: Crypto Arena Bag Policy at a Glance

The Crypto Arena bag policy prohibits nearly every standard bag type. Only small clutches and wallets under 5″ x 9″ x 1″ pass through general security, alongside medical and parental bags under 14″ x 14″ x 6″ that go through a dedicated X-ray screening. Unlike many strict no-bag venues, Crypto Arena does offer an on-site paid locker option for anything larger.

Official Policy Verification & Source Check

• Official policy source: Crypto.com Arena’s own General Information & FAQ page (cryptoarena.com/general-info-faq)
• Source type: Official venue website, corroborated by the Los Angeles Lakers’ own in-arena NBA.com policy page
• Last checked: September 2026
• Confidence level: High
• Notes on conflicting figures: The core numbers are consistent across the venue’s own site and the Lakers’ NBA.com page — 5″x9″x1″ for clutches, 14″x14″x6″ for medical and parental bags. One third-party aggregator instead lists a smaller clutch size (4.5″x6.5″), which doesn’t match either official source; the official 5″x9″x1″ figure is the one we use throughout this guide. The Binbox locker hours (1 hour before doors to 1 hour after the event ends) come from the Lakers’ own page, since the venue’s own FAQ doesn’t state locker hours directly.

How We Check This Policy: We prioritize Crypto.com Arena’s own General Info & FAQ page and cross-check it against the Lakers’ NBA.com in-arena policy page, flagging where a third-party aggregator’s figures don’t match either official source — as with the clutch size above.

What Makes the Crypto Arena Bag Policy Different

Compared with a standard NFL-style clear bag policy, where a 12″x6″x12″ clear tote is the norm, the Crypto Arena bag policy goes further: clear bags are explicitly named among the prohibited items, not just non-clear ones. Transparency gets you nothing here — a clear tote faces the same rejection as an opaque one unless it’s small-clutch sized.

One detail that sets the Crypto.com Arena bag policy apart from similarly strict venues like Delta Center or Amerant Bank Arena: Crypto.com Arena offers Binbox Lockers, a real on-site rental option adjacent to the Kobe Bryant Entrance next to the LA Kings Monument, booked and paid for through the Binbox app. Many arenas with this strict a bag policy don’t provide any on-site fallback at all.

Allowed Bags and Size Limits Under the Crypto Arena Bag Policy

Small Clutches and Wallets

Under the Crypto Arena bag policy, a clutch or wallet up to 5″x9″x1″ is the only general-admission option — compact enough for a phone, ID, and a card, subject to visual inspection at the gate.

Medical and Parental Bags

These get a meaningfully larger allowance, 14″x14″x6″, but must go through X-ray screening rather than a standard visual check — build in extra time for this step.

Security Screening: How Entry Actually Works

All permitted items under the Crypto Arena bag policy are subject to visual inspection by security personnel. Medical and parental bags specifically require an X-ray machine screening, which may mean a separate line from the general security checkpoint.

Binbox Lockers: The On-Site Fallback

Guests arriving with a bag that doesn’t comply with the Crypto Arena bag policy can rent a Binbox Locker, located adjacent to the Kobe Bryant Entrance next to the LA Kings Monument. Rental and payment happen entirely through the Binbox app — there’s no need to carry cash. Per the Lakers’ own page, lockers are typically available starting 1 hour before doors open and remain accessible until 1 hour after the event concludes.

Prohibited Items Under the Crypto Arena Bag Policy

• Bags, backpacks, purses, totes, clear bags, fanny packs, and camera bags exceeding the small-clutch limit
• Outside food and beverages (medical or infant need exceptions apply)
• Weapons of any kind, including firearms and knives
• Professional camera equipment (lenses longer than 6 inches, monopods, tripods)
• Noise-making devices
• Laser pointers
• Any item that could be used as a weapon or disrupt the event

Packing Strategy for Faster Entry

• Bring only a small clutch or wallet, measured under 5″x9″x1″: this is the single reliable way through general security under the Crypto Arena bag policy.
• Don’t bother with a clear bag as a workaround: clear bags are explicitly prohibited above the clutch size, unlike at most other venues.
• Route medical or parental bags through the X-ray lane specifically: general security lines won’t process these.
• Reserve a Binbox Locker in advance via the app if you’re unsure: avoids a surprise rejection at the gate.
• Plan locker pickup within the stated window: 1 hour before doors to 1 hour after the event ends.

Category-Specific Packing Tips

Lakers and LA Kings regulars: Treat the Crypto Arena bag policy as a true no-bag rule for everyday game attendance — bring a slim wallet or clutch and leave everything else at home or in a Binbox Locker.

Concertgoers: The bag policy for concerts at Crypto.com Arena mirrors the policy for sporting events exactly — no bags, backpacks, purses, totes, clear bags, fanny packs, or camera bags are allowed at any event type.

Families with infants: A parental bag up to 14″x14″x6″ is allowed, but route it through the X-ray screening lane and budget extra time rather than joining the general line.

Fans with medical needs: Medical bags get the same 14″x14″x6″ allowance and X-ray requirement as parental bags — keep supplies organized for a quick scan.
